Northern Spring Peepers
#NatureNugget: Found in wooded areas and grassy lowlands near ponds and swamps across Ohio, northern spring peppers are tiny, well-camouflaged amphibians rarely seen. In fact, peepers are so small that they can sit comfortably on a dime! You can, and most likely have heard peepers’ shrill, birdlike peeps, or whistles.
